How to import contacts

Import your contact database into CRM system and start communicating effectively with your customers.

Import contact

In the vertical menu, click Contacts. Then select which database you want to import the contact into. You can choose from Persons or Companies.

You will see a new web page where you click the "Add company" or "Add person" button in the top right corner.

You will see a new modal window where you fill in the contact details. In the second half of the form, you can insert a tag, phone number, email and web page. Confirm the filled-in data by clicking on the “Save” button.

You will then be redirected to the details of the saved contact.

You can check whether the contact is imported correctly in the Contacts - Persons or Companies section.

Delete a contact

If you want to delete contacts. Check the box in the first column of the selected contact.

Then the actions above the contact list become active. You can select “Delete” from them.

Confirm your selection with the “Execute” button and the contact will be deleted.

Import contacts

In the vertical menu, click Contacts and then Imports.

You will be redirected to a new page where you click the "New import" button.

Upload method

You will see the first step of importing contacts into Reago CRM.

From the menu, choose to upload the data by copying and then pasting it into the table in the next step "Copy and paste from file" or by uploading the file itself in .csv or .txt format "CSV or tab-delimeted text". Click "Next step to upload data" to confirm your selection.

If you select Copy and paste from file, you will be redirected to the second step of data import.

Fill in the Import name field with your own import name.

For Contact type, select the database to which the contacts should be imported.

If the table also includes the first row with column names, leave the Header row checked.

Paste the copied data into the Paste data from spreadsheet space.

Click "Upload" to confirm.

Upload data - CSV or tab-delimeted text

If you select CSV or tab-delimeted text, you will be redirected to the second step of data import.

Fill in the Import name field with your own import name.

For Contact type, select the database to which the contacts should be imported.

For Delimiter, we recommend to keep the automatic setting.

For Enclosure, then select the character that encloses the values ​​between each column.

If the table also includes the first row with column names, leave the Header row checked.

For a CSV file, upload the contact file you want to import.

Match uploaded data

In the third import step, it is important to unify the columns from the imported data with those in Reago CRM.

The first two columns show the data from the imported file.

In the third, you select the column names in Reago CRM that match the values ​​from the imported file.


In the last column, select the value that the system will take as the primary value for matching the new data with the existing Reago CRM data.


Click "Continue" to confirm.

Edit uploaded data

In the fourth step, you'll see a summary of the values ​​within the imported file. Find out how many contacts are eligible to import and will be imported. You will also verify how many contacts are invalid and how many duplicates. You can edit duplicate and invalid contacts in this step. This data will not be imported into Reago CRM!

Matching process

In the penultimate step, you choose how the newly imported data should be treated against existing Reago CRM data.

No match - unique contacts that are not available in Reago CRM.
One match - contacts that are in both imported file and Reago CRM.
Multiple matches - contacts that are in Reago CRM multiple times. Here the system evaluates the current state of data in the CRM system.

In the above states, you choose how the system will work with them.

Imported - the data will be imported
Updated - data will be updated
Updated (last created person) - the data will be updated with the last contact added in Reago CRM
Updated (first created person) - the data will be updated for the first contact added in Reago CRM
Skipped - data will not be uploaded

You can also tag contacts contact. These options are available for each status.

For the contact, you must set permissions (Consents) to handle the contact. These options are available for each status. Campaigns cannot be posted without setting permissions.

Click "Continue" to confirm the settings.
